Kashless.org is the first online marketplace where everything is free. The company calls it ReCommerce. Kashless.org helps consumers find reusable and recyclable items in their local communities that they need in their daily lives. Currently available only in the Puget Sound, the site lists thousands of items free for the taking today. The Company hopes to provide the service nationally in the coming months.

The Director of Business Development, identifies sales, partner, channel, solution provider, and marketing opportunities and delivers against specific industry and vertical market segment targets. The Director originates, positions, and ultimately closes deals which implement compelling solutions utilizing the Kashless.org platform. Major Job Accountabilities:
• Drive the business development process after initial lead to deal closure:
o Build and manage the new client/partner relationship; identify/seek key organizational decision-makers
o Serve as primary point of contact: control information flow and content, facilitate and drive meetings
o Assemble and lead appropriate internal engagement team: define agenda and area(s) of focus
o Initiate and devise client solution and proposal ensuing realistic deliverables and profitability
o Lead client presentations: set business tone, control meeting flow, delegate/define roles and responsibilities
o Understand and anticipate client procurement process
o Manage deal to closing
• Identify potential market segments and develop tailored market entry strategies including potential client list
• Manage deal pipeline
• Manage to a corporate financial forecast
Requirements:
• B.S or B.A. degree required
• 7-10+ years applicable work experience:
o Business Development/Sales for an consumer facing Internet/tech company
o Proven ability to deliver valuable customer and partner deals.
o You gotta be a “Closer”.
o Experience in a start-up. You gotta love the start-up gig.
• Proven experience in motivating and influencing cross-functional business and technology teams
• Demonstrated analytical skills with the ability to devise compelling business strategies backed by quantitative analysis/ROI projections
• Demonstrated technical skills and ability to understand/present technology based products
• Must have demonstrated strong communication skills and presentation abilities
• Professional, tenacious and outgoing demeanor
• Must be a quick thinker and have the innate ability to intelligently counter objections and propose reality based solutions
• Demonstrated outstanding organizational skills: must be able to multi-task and manage multiple projects and deals
• Strong execution and follow-up skills
• Strong entrepreneurial interest
• You must be passionate about the problem set Kashless.org is solving.
Pluses:
• Marketing/strategy experience (online and/or offline) a strong plus
• Non-Profit and Government contract experience
• MBA (the right kind)
• Online/Offline ad agency experience
• You know a presentation software OTHER THAN Powerpoint
• You know how to surf or ride a bike (fast and far).
